CHAPTER 12 RACE Appendix 5- Incidents, Medical Facilities and Emergency Rescue
1. Serious Incidents
1.1. All Serious Incidents must be reported to the ASN and managed in accordance with the published ASN Incident Pack and Protocols.
1.2. The ASN Stewards must ensure that the ASN Incident Pack is present with the Event Official Documentation available to the Clerk of the Course.
2. Incidents
2.1. The Clerk of the Course shall ensure that after every incident involving a competing Vehicle or Vehicles the following are informed:

The Chief Scrutineer: where mechanical failure is suspected, mechanical damage is substantial, or the completion of a serious incident form is necessary
The ASN Steward of the Event: where there is injury involving treatment beyond the capability of the Venue staff( see Art. 1) or where judicial action is possible or has been taken.
2.2. No Vehicle or Driver involved in a Serious Incident shall be permitted to continue in the Competition nor leave the Venue without the prior approval of the Chief Scrutineer or the Chief Medical Officer as the case may be. Full details of such approval must be provided to the Clerk of the Course and must be delivered in the Steward’ s Report to the ASN.
2.3. At the conclusion of each Race each Post-Chief shall report any incidents to the Clerk of the Course. Post-Chiefs will also pay attention to driving standards and report to the Clerk of the Course any perceived breaches.
2.4. Live“ snatch” is prohibited for:
a. b. single seaters; and open sports cars without a full roll cage; and c. during hours of darkness.
2.5. At Race Circuits not licensed for the use of“ snatch” the recovery of a Vehicle creating an obstruction or hazard can only be carried out once the Race has been neutralised by Safety Car, Full Course Yellow or Code 60 unless recovery is executed manually.

Where recovery can be undertaken manually by Marshals this will be undertaken in the usual way covered by yellow signals in accordance with Ch. 12 App. 8 Art. 1.8.
3. Medical Arrangements, Emergency Rescue Vehicles and Equipment( Chapter 11)
3.1. At all permanent Circuits there shall be a medical centre equipped in accordance with the current ASN Medical Centre Protocol.
3.2. The appropriate number of Doctors, ASN Registered Paramedics and Ambulances must be present throughout Practice and Racing located in accordance with the Track Licence.
3.3. Provided that the basic minimum of one Doctor is complied with the remaining posts shall be filled with either ASN Registered Paramedics( Chapter 11) or Doctors appointed to the Event at the sole discretion of the Chief Medical Officer.
3.4. At all Race Events at least one licensed Rescue Vehicle and crew must be in attendance and should be positioned as indicated on the Track Licence.
