Anyone who ceases to be on the HCPC register will have their ASN Licence be removed. 4.4. Paramedics must ensure the equipment necessary for the proper performance of their duties is available.
4.5. It is recommended that Paramedics should wear readily identifiable( preferably red) protective overalls or tabards. The backs should display the word Paramedic.
4.6. Paramedics must‘ sign-on’ and where appropriate produce their ASN Paramedic Licence at any Event at which they are officiating. They are under control of the Chief Medical Officer( where present) and Clerk of the Course at all times.
5. Eligible Nurses 5.1. All Nurses attending motorsport Events, must be ASN Licensed.
5.2. To be ASN licensed, applicants must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council( NMC) for a minimum of 2 years as being a Nurse and be in possession of adequate valid malpractice insurance. New applicants will be required to provide a letter of support from the Chief Medical Officer or an ASN registered Senior Doctor of the venue they will work at confirming their suitability and experience.
5.3. Anyone who ceases to be registered as a Nurse with the NMC will have their ASN Licence removed.
5.4. Nurses must‘ sign-on’ and where appropriate produce their ASN Nurse Licence at any Event at which they are officiating. They are under control of the Chief Medical Officer( where present) and Clerk of the Course at all times.
6. Medical Assistants 6.1. All Medical Assistants attending motorsport Events, must be ASN licensed
6.2. Radiographers, Physiotherapists and Operating Department Practitioners. To be ASN licensed, applicants must be currently registered with the HCPC. New applicants will be required to provide a letter of support from the Chief Medical Officer or an ASN registered Senior Doctor of the venue they will work at confirming their suitability and experience.
6.3. Medical Assistants must‘ sign-on’ and where appropriate produce their ASN Medical Assistant Licence at any Event at which they are officiating.

7. Ambulance Crew
7.1. To be ASN licensed Emergency Care Assistants( ECAs) applicants must provide a copy of their FREC4 certificate and letter of support from the ambulance provider.
7.2. To be ASN licensed Emergency Medical Technicians( EMTs) applicants must provide a copy of their Level 4 Diploma Associate Ambulance Practitioner certificate and letter of support from the ambulance provider.
7.3. Ambulance Crew must‘ sign-on’ and where appropriate produce their ASN Ambulance Crew Licence at any Event at which they are officiating.
7.4. Medical indemnity insurance is required and will not be provided by the ASN.
8. Observer – Medical
8.1. Student Doctors, student Paramedics and student Nurses. To be ASN licensed, applicants must provide a letter from the university confirming student status.
8.2. Paramedics with less than 2 years since qualification. To be ASN licensed, applicants must be currently registered with the HCPC.
