8.3. Nurses with less than 2 years since qualification. To be ASN licensed, applicants must be currently registered with the NMC.
8.4. Observer – Medical must‘ sign-on’ and where appropriate produce their ASN Observer – Medical Licence at any Event which they are officiating.
9. Observer – Doctor 9.1. GMC registered Doctors of Foundation grade( Residents).
9.2. To be ASN licensed, applicants must be currently registered with the GMC and provide a letter of approval from their Postgraduate Dean confirming Resident status.
9.3. Observer – Doctor must‘ sign-on’ and where appropriate produce their ASN Observer – Doctor Licence at any Event which they are officiating.
10. Chief Medical Officer 10.1. The Chief Medical Officer Licence grade will be individually reviewed and appointed by the ASN.
11. Professional Indemnity Insurance
11.1. Professional indemnity insurance is required by the above. Within the range of ASN arranged insurances medical malpractice insurance is now provided for volunteer Paramedics( registered with the Health and Care Professions Council) attending ASN authorised Events. This cover does not extend to any other category of medical personnel. It does not cover those Paramedics attending ASN authorised Events as a result of a commercial contract between their employers and the Event Organisers, promotors, or Venue owners or operators where the minimum level of required indemnification is £ 2,000,000( Samaritan cover is not adequate). Please forward to ASN a copy of your insurance certificate in this instance on application.
12. Incident Reporting 12.1. An ASN Patient Report Form( PRF) must be fully completed for each individual treated.
