Insurance explained

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE This insurance cover provides a suite of fixed monetary benefits if a member suffers an injury as a result of an accident during Permitted Event, subject to the policy terms and eligibility rules, but it typically covers signed-on officials, marshals, and eligible licensed competitors excluding free RS Clubman *. A personal accident claim does not require proving negligence, it is a simple benefit policy to provide financial benefit should a member be injured in an accident. There are different benefit levels depending on the severity of the injury.
Examples of benefits include:
• A range of amounts for specified injuries such as broken bones, hospitalisation and physiotherapy support, where included under the schedule.
• Specific amounts can apply in the event of very serious outcomes such as loss of limbs, hearing or sight, permanent total disablement, or loss of life.
• The period of cover can extend to cover travelling to and from the Permitted Event and, for some members to cover basic emergency medical or repatriation expenses when participating in an overseas event sanctioned by an FIA member ASN, depending on the scheme terms.
Further details of when members get this cover and the scale of the benefits can be found on the Motorsport UK insurance zone website.

THREE TYPES OF INSURANCE COVER

PUBLIC LIABILITY Claims from third parties for injury or damage. This is about your liability to third parties, not damage to your own vehicle or injury from on-track incidents. If you have questions or require more information, please contact marshsport @ marsh. com or visit the Motorsport UK insurance zone.
PERSONAL ACCIDENT
Benefits for the injured insured member. This is support after injury, not a negligence claim against somebody else. If you have questions or require more information, please contact marshsport @ marsh. com or visit the Motorsport UK insurance zone.
ROAD SECTION TOP-UP
Standard motor insurance policies may not provide cover for your participation in a motorsport event. Minimum third party cover is a legal requirement while on the open public road. If you have questions or require more information, please contact motorsportuk @ kingfishermotorsport. com or visit the Motorsport UK Road Rally Hub.
