Sitting on 10th July 2026 Tony Scott Andrews( Chair), Adrienne Watson, David Scott
Case No. J2026 / 19
DISCIPLINARY HEARING – X( a minor)
Appearing before the Court:
• Mr Nick Bamber, on behalf of Motorsport UK
• X appeared with his father
1. Being a Competition Licence Holder, X has accrued 12 or more penalty points in a 12-month period, and accordingly, pursuant to NCR Ch. 2 App. 12 Art. 1.6, X appears before the National Court for the consideration of further penalty.
2. The breaches of NCR giving rise to the allocation of penalty points are as follows:
a) Donington Park National, 13th September 2025 – Ch. 12 App. 7 Art. 1.8 – 2 points.
b) Snetterton 300, 18th April 2026 – Ch. 12 App. 7 Art. 1.8 – 3 points.
c) Snetterton 300, 19th April 2026 – Ch. 12 App. 7 Art. 1.8 – 3 points.
d) Silverstone Circuit GP, 16th May 2026 – Ch. 12 App. 7 Art. 1.8 – 3 points.
e) Anglesey Circuit International, 14th June 2026 – Ch. 12 App. 7 Art. 1.8 – 2 points.
3. Mr Bamber submits that as each and every one of the above penalties arose from X having caused a collision, a further period of driver training would be more appropriate than a simple Suspension of Competition Licence.
He did add that the responsibility for settling the cost of such tuition would be that of X.
5. 5. X’ s father confirmed that such further education would be put into effect.
DECISION
6. After consideration the Court accepts that the recommendation made by Mr Bamber was indeed appropriate in the circumstances of this case and makes an Order in those terms, that is to say that X’ s Competition Licence will be suspended pending a satisfactory completion of four hours further driver training.
7. X is referred to a paper entitled National Court Mandated Training ARDS Instructor Appointment( with which he must comply) a copy of which will be provided to him by Motorsport UK.
8. X is ordered to pay a contribution to the costs of this Court in the sum of two hundred and fifty Pounds(£ 250.00).
Tony Scott Andrews, Chair 10th July 2026
4. The recommendation he makes to the Court on behalf of Motorsport UK is that there should be an interim Suspension of X’ s Competition Licence pending completion by X of a minimum of four hours instruction by an independent Grade A or S ARDS Instructor selected from a list of approved instructors held by Motorsport UK( and whose identity must first be notified to them) and that subject to receiving a satisfactory report from such Instructor, X’ s Competition Licence could be re-instated.
