The National Court is the UK Disciplinary, Investigatory and Appeal Court as required by the Statutes of the FIA and the International Sporting Code. The Court is independent of Motorsport UK and administered by an external lawyer and the judges are drawn from a panel of experienced motorsport lawyers and suitably qualified motorsport professionals

RESULTS INQUIRY – Gurston Down Hillclimb( 2nd-3rd May 2026) organised by the British Automobile Racing Club

1. Motorsport UK having been notified of an issue or irregularity arising from the results of the above event have ordered that the National Court shall inquire into the matter pursuant to NCR Ch. 2 App. 7 Art. 9.

2. Following the running of the above Event, the Organising Club has confirmed to Motorsport UK( the ASN) that the time of Competitor, Stephen Moore( Car 112, Class 9-4WD), was omitted from the“ Timed – COMBINED RESULTS” of the Event.

3. Mr Moore’ s times for practice and the first run are correctly detailed in the published results; however, his times were missed from the Combined Results.

4. The timekeepers have confirmed that Mr Moore’ s first run time of 33.80 seconds was valid and was such that it should have appeared in the end of event overall combined results but was inadvertently omitted.

7. The corrected results, together with the supporting documentation, were made available for the Court’ s consideration.

8. Consequently, the Court has no difficulty in finding the following:

( 1) Mr Moore’ s first run time of 33.80 seconds ought to have been included in the end of event overall combined results.

( 2) The corrected results are accurate, and the Court orders the publication of the corrected results of the Event.( 3) No orders are made as to costs

5. Mr Moore appears in the run one classification both by class and by time, as he should, but does not appear in the combined results at the end of the Event.

6. The Chief Timekeeper, Kevin Chaffey( Speed National Timekeeper), has confirmed that the omission was an error in the preparation of the report and that Mr Moore appears to be the only Competitor affected; and further that the error had no bearing on the Top 12 run-off, Mr Moore having been thirteenth( 13th) in time order of championship contenders.
