My month in Motorsport

Our mission statement sets out that Motorsport UK aims to inspire the nation with the past, present, and future of motorsport – given we are in a unique position as a sport to bask in nostalgia and be wowed by the inventiveness of the brilliant engineers who stretch the laws of physics. Over the last month I have had the opportunity to experience the full spectrum of our sport, from the glorious Bentley Drivers Club meeting at Silverstone, to the final edition of the futuristic Formula E in London, plus a flying visit to the Friday of the Dutch Grand Prix.
Admittedly these are all circuit racing focused and I am quick to acknowledge that there are many corners of our sport that can illustrate the same diversity. From classic Sporting Trials to Formula Student or AutoSOLOs to Land Speed records. On the last of these, it was
