SCRUTINEERING
Thinking about becoming a Scrutineer?’
Motorsport should be safe and fair for everyone, and that’ s where scrutineers come in. They play a vital role at events across the UK, checking vehicles and equipment to ensure they comply with the regulations and helping to identify and resolve any issues.
You don’ t have to be a mechanic or an engineer

MARSHAL REGISTRATIONS
Important update for clubs organising circuit racing events
From 1st January 2027, all marshals supporting circuit racing events must be registered with Motorsport UK.
If your club organises circuit racing events, we’ d encourage you to start checking that your marshals are registered ahead of the new season. Checking registrations in advance will help make event days run smoothly and give anyone who hasn’ t yet registered plenty of time to complete the process online.
What do marshals need to do? Registering is a straightforward online process that takes around 20 minutes.
Marshals will need to:
Create or log in to their Motorsport UK account via Sport: 80
Complete the online accreditation course through the Learning Hub
Add their marshal registration to their account.
Any marshals who haven’ t completed their registration will need to do so before signing on at an event. We’ d recommend encouraging everyone to get this sorted in advance, rather than leaving it until the morning of an event when time and internet connectivity may be limited.
If your club has any questions or needs support with the registration process, our team will be happy to help. Simply email volunteers @ motorsportuk. org.
