DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS – Peter Thompson
1. Peter Thompson is a Competition Licence Holder who had accrued 12 penalty points in a 12-month period and accordingly pursuant to NCR Ch. 2 App. 12 Art. 1.6 was referred to the National Court.
2. On reaching 12 points his licence had been suspended pursuant to NCR Ch. 2 App. 2 Art. 6.2.
3. Having considered the matter in detail the Court makes the following orders:( a) Mr Thompson is required to undertake a minimum of four hours of re-education, which is to be provided by an ARDS instructor of grades A or S.( b) The name of the instructor must be notified to Motorsport UK.( c) The instructor must not be anyone with whom Mr Thompson has had any prior professional association.
( d) On completion of the re-education programme the ARDS instructor will report the outcome to Motorsport UK.( e) Subject to the satisfactory completion of the reeducation programme the suspension of Mr Thompson’ s competition licence will be lifted. The licence remains suspended until then.( f) The costs of the re-education programme will be the responsibility of Mr Thompson.
4. For the avoidance of doubt the re-education programme can be undertaken without a Competition Licence. 5. Costs of £ 150 are payable within seven days.
