Royal Automobile Club Concours

Motorsport UK members are invited to attend the Royal Automobile Club Concours next month at the Club’ s Woodcote Park clubhouse in Surrey.
A fantastic day, packed with spectacular cars, and of course, the famous hospitality of the Royal Automobile Club. This is the first time the exclusive Woodcote Park clubhouse has welcomed Club members, guests, and selected car clubs in this way.
The Club Concours itself will feature over 250 of the world’ s finest cars, all carefully curated. Distinctive categories include cars under the groupings of Grand Tourers, Riviera, Coachbuilder’ s Art, Limousines and the Mille Miglia, with a further category for pioneering London to Brighton veteran cars, and another celebrating the finest of motorcycles.
An independent panel of expert and influential concours judges will select the winners, with trophies awarded to Category Winners, and the prestigious Best in Show. In addition, a‘ People’ s Choice’ will acknowledge the biggest crown-puller on the day.
Woodcote’ s exquisite, 350-acre estate of lawns, terraces and parkland will host a wide variety of other features and displays to celebrate, for example, 75 years of Formula 1, 75 years of British motoring greats, 120 years of the Tourist Trophy and the 125th anniversary of the Club-organised 1000 Mile Trial, and a Supercar Boulevard display.
There will also be live music and interviews with key figures in the historic car world, and plenty of space to relax with a refreshing drink and food.

Clubmans Celebrate

The first of the Clubmans 60th Anniversary celebrations was a great success at Prescott with 20 competitors in a wide range of cars from across the history of Clubmans. 19-year-old Archie Cooper, pictured in the Mallock Mk 17 raced so effectively by his grandfather, the late Richard Brown, was the sensation of the weekend taking overall FTD with a stunning 43.85 climb. This was the first time that he has raced the Mallock, having only tested the car a couple of weeks earlier. Olivia Cooper, Archie’ s mother, regularly competes in a Force single seater. The Clubmans class proved very popular, and a similar event is planned for next season.
