TEST OF ENDURANCE
The Le Mans 24 Hour race is the most famous endurance race – but club members can also race through the night in the UK with C1 or 2CV racing reports Will Gray
“ I was totally buzzing,” smiles Adrian Langley, as he recalls his emotions after making his 24-Hour racing debut at Silverstone last month.“ I have never gone that long with no sleep, but it did not seem to matter. I think most people are running on pure adrenaline and I have been on a high ever since the race finished.”
There are only a handful of 24-Hour motor races around the world. The top tier includes Le Mans, Spa and the Nürburgring, which all take place this month; Daytona and Dubai; and Australia’ s legendary Bathurst 1000. At the other end of the scale, and closer to home, C1 racing and Classic 2CV racing offer great 24-hours of competition here in the UK.
