6. It was not thought appropriate to suspend X’ s competition licence for a prolonged period in the circumstances, but it was plain that X’ s driving skills require urgent improvement. The Court agreed with that assessment.
7. Motorsport UK took the view that young drivers should be encouraged and considered that further training was required.
8. The order of the Court is that:
( 1) The competitor’ s competition licence is to remain suspended until the satisfactory completion of a minimum of two( 2) days further instruction and assessment by an ARDS instructor of Grade A or S. The instructor will report their findings to the Motorsport UK Head of Race who will decide if sufficient progress has been achieved.
( 2) The Competitor must pay the sum of £ 500 towards costs.
