Sustainable Fuel
Formula 1 has mandated that the 2026 power units must run entirely on sustainable fuel, created from non-food sources, municipal waste or atmospheric carbon capture. This ensures that no new fossil carbon is released into the atmosphere.
The introduction of fully sustainable fuels is a critical step in F1’ s“ Net Zero by 2030” mission while keeping the internal combustion engine relevant in an increasingly electric world.
This will also be a season filled with national pride as World Champion Lando Norris heads up five drivers racing under the British flag – our biggest contingent in 14 years. We will have to wait and see whether Lando can successfully defend his title, or if another member of this group can write themselves into the history books and become our 12th British Formula One World Champion.
