Robin Alexander Sporting Trial
19th September, Penvose Farm, St Tudy, PL30 3NP
The Robin Alexander is the third sporting trial that Camel Vale is running this year, and the clubs only British championship event. Held on the rolling, technical mud-and-grass terrains of Penvose Farm near Bodmin this event features purposebuilt, ultra-lightweight, two-seater trials cars equipped with independent fiddle brakes to navigate steep, muddy inclines. Every vehicle relies on a driver and a passenger(“ bouncer”) who uses their body weight to maximize tyre traction while drivers navigate designated vertical sections without stopping; the higher you climb, the fewer penalty points you receive.

Taking place across Shropshire, this year’ s event marks an exciting new chapter for the rally, beginning with a ceremonial start in Shrewsbury before Saturday afternoon action at Weston Park and a full day of closed-road competition on Sunday. Saturday’ s itinerary will feature a collection of stages at Weston Park— an iconic former RAC Rally venue— before crews tackle five closedroad stages, each run twice, across the south of Shrewsbury on Sunday. The Hills Ford Stages Rally is proud to host the final round of the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, with four other championships featuring double-headers at the rally.
