Driver in his day, was now extremely ill. He had believed that it would please and help his father to know that his son had competed in a Rally in his old car. There had been very little time left in which this could be achieved. He said that he took the matter seriously and had flown over from Barbados especially for this Hearing.
10. The Court, while having great sympathy for Mr Morley’ s wish to participate in the Rally in order to please his father, can find no excuse for Morley’ s continuing refusal to accept that he could not Enter it. c) Mr Morley pay a Fine in the sum of five thousand pounds sterling( 5,000.00).
d) Mr Morley is to pay a contribution toward the Court’ s Costs in the sum of seven hundred and fifty pounds sterling(£ 750.00).

11. First, a Licence which was not his was altered and submitted to the Organising Club. Then, having obtained a Competition Licence from Motorsport UK in his own name he persisted in his attempts to enter the Rally notwithstanding that it was of an insufficient grade, attempting to participate in the Driver’ s Briefing after being informed that his Motorsport UK licence had been suspended, making incorrect representations to the Organiser as to the intentions of Motorsport UK and ultimately attempting to obtain a Barbadian Competition Licence while holding a Motorsport UK licence without referral to Motorsport UK.
12. It may be that this seemingly total lack of appreciation of motorsports licensing system and attempts to circumvent it were due to naivety rather than deliberate evasion but, nonetheless, Morley’ s actions were unacceptable and the charges against him are well founded. 13. The Court accordingly Orders that:
a) Nicholas Morley’ s Motorsport UK Licence is to be suspended forthwith.
b) No further Motorsport UK Licence is to be issued to him for a period of five( 5) years commencing with today’ s date.
