When carrying out inspections for Motorsport UK vehicle documents, Scrutineers must not inspect their own vehicles or vehicles owned by close family members, relatives or friends, or in any situation where a conflict of interest – or the perception of one – could reasonably exist.
Where a vehicle has sustained accident damage and requires re-inspection before returning to

competition, the relevant Motorsport UK vehicle document should be confiscated and forwarded to the Motorsport UK Technical Team at the earliest opportunity. The vehicle must successfully complete the appropriate re-inspection process before the document can be reinstated or replaced.

Well-known rally photographer Andrew Manston, known throughout the sport as Andy, created superb rally photographs, but they only told a small part of his story.
While competitors initially noticed the M & H Photography man behind his Foto board and his camera, Andy quickly became an integral part of their events and wider lives. It’ s a mark of the love and affection in which Andy is the man in front of the camera, more than the man behind it.
Andy was seen at many events, with cheerful greetings and a hug or handshake passing both ways. It often felt as though he was at every event, no matter whether it was a night rally in East Anglia or a daytime event in the South West the very next morning.
The Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship and the wider rally community is devastated to learn of the passing of John Wink, aged just 44.
Starting his rallying career in 2014 driving a Mitsubishi Evo, the Scottish rallying community quickly fell in love with John – a caring soul with a devastating turn of speed, proved by his Challengers title in 2018( and trio of
2024). Becoming the first ever driver to privately own a Hyundai i20 R5 in 2017, John proved himself across the UK- winning the final ever Wales Rally GB National in 2019.
However, his proudest achievement was taking a long-awaited SRC victory at the Snowman Rally in 2024; an immensely popular result across the entire service park.
