A rare combination of circuit racer and dragster driver, Bob Hawkins has enjoyed a career in motorsport that spans more than six decades, from the late 1970s right up to the present day. He is well known at Santa Pod for running the spectacular Time Traveller II, a front-engine‘ slingshot’ dragster with a Nitro-burning 3,000bhp big block Chevy engine, which is one of the fastest of its kind outside of the USA. In the past, he was also a well-known competitor in Formula Ford 1600, and has recently returned to the cockpit to make a circuit racing comeback in the category he left many years ago.
