Governance

Motorsport in the UK is shaped by people: passionate volunteers, seasoned competitors, dedicated officials and community voices who give their time because they care about the future of our sport. Our committees bring these perspectives together. Enthusiasts with lived experience across every discipline, whose role it is to understand how the sport feels at ground level and to help shape regulations that keep motorsport safe, fair and enjoyable for everyone.
The resulting National Competition Rules are powered by collaboration, driven by our committees. Ideas and proposals are explored, refined through open consultation, and strengthened by feedback from clubs, competitors, marshals and members. Before anything is approved, we debate and challenge each proposal, ensuring it supports the values at the heart of our community. Approved new or amended rules are then released at regular intervals throughout the year in the NCR.
This process is about building confidence, trust and clarity. It reflects our Vision 2030 commitment to simple, transparent and supportive governance.
